    Sausage Gravy

    This recipe is sometimes called 'milk gravy' also because it uses quite a bit of milk.  We usually eat it over waffles or biscuits.


    Ingredients:
    1 lb. Jimmy Dean Natural pork breakfast sausage
    2/3 cup flour
    5 cups milk, heated
    2 teaspoons pepper
    2 teaspoons salt


    In a large saucepan brown sausage on medium high heat.  Crumble sausage as its browning.
    When the sausage is thoroughly cooked, stir flour into sausage.  Cook for 1 minute.



    Whisk in heated milk; add salt and pepper.  Cook and stir until thickened.
    Serve over biscuits or waffles.
    Serves 6-8
